What a day

Oh were do I begin this story.....I'll go straight to the best part and that is Brody locked me out of the house today for almost 2 hours.

I decided I would go outside and raise the umbrella on the picnic table and get his pool ready for his little baby play date and when I tried to come back inside my sweet little boy had locked me out. I was in complete shock because he has never been able to do that and to be completely honest the thought never crossed my mind. I was in panic mode and was running around like a crazy person trying to figure out what to do. I first tried to get him to unlock the door, but he just thought I was being silly and then he became frustrated because I wasn't letting him out. I quickly ran next door to my neighbor's house and rang the door bell about a thousand times. He finally came to the door and by this time I had sweat rolling off me and I'm sure I looked like a freak because he immediately offered me a bottle of water. Anyway, I called Casey and told him to call Tracey which lives close to Casey's Pharmacy and to have her bring me a key. She was happy to help and so while I was waiting on her to get there my neighbor and I was just trying to keep Brody calm and trying to get him to stay within eye contact.

Everything has calmed down now, he is in bed and now I think it might be time for Momma to have a little rest too, considering I almost had a heart attack, panic attack, stroke, and whatever else a momma can have when the situation is totally out of there control!

I'm just in a funk

Gosh I just can't seem to get out of this mood I've been in the past couple of days. The moodiness is a combination of things which are lack of sleep, hormones, and just everyday stress. I sure hope this will pass soon because Casey is ready to move out. I couldn't imagine having to deal with someone like me, but I just can't seem to shake this. Lets pray that in a couple of weeks I will be back to my old self.

Happy Father's Day

Yesterday was Father's day and both Casey and I had to work. The day was spent mostly apart, but we made the best of it! Brody and I picked out his daddy some very cool clothes and a really neat card. Brody actually picked the card out himself and he carried it to the cash register. After some persuading he finally gave the card up so we could pay and everyone that was waiting behind us was talking about how cute he was. We came home and Brody colored in the card all by himself and we ordered take-out from Calhoun's. The rest of the evening was spent with just Casey and Brody because I had to go back to work. They have a good time though, when I'm at work because his daddy lets him run wild and Casey is right there with him. I took a few pictures of my guys to remember this day. I hope you enjoy!

Fun times with good friends

We had a fun day with Emma and Tracey the other day. The kids enjoyed the pool and sand table, while the Mommy's soaked up some rays and don't forget the gossip!

2-8

Do you know what 2-8 means? Well that's how many years I've been on this beautiful earth! Yesterday was my birthday and to help me celebrate all my family came to Knoxville for a little quality time with yours truly. I had a great time with everyone and enjoyed all the gifts, food, and laughter. Can't wait for another Birthday.....well yeah I can I don't want to be 30 YIKES!!

Photo Shoot with Joshua and family

Here are some pictures from the little photo shoot I had with Joshua yesterday...Hope you enjoy!

Fun in the Sun

I wanted to share a few pictures of Bubba's playing in the pool or should I say dumping all the water out of the pool with his bucket. Hey whatever keeps him happy!

Spending some time with family

Yesterday we spent the day with my family in Kentucky while Casey played in a golf scramble. I would just like to say that Casey and my brother won the golf scramble!
Anyway, Brody ran around with all of his cousins and played with all the dogs. He loved every minute of it and I just wish we lived a little close so we could have more days like that.

I finally think the bottle situation has been conquered. I'm so proud to say that it's been 2 days since he has had a bottle and I've even survived myself. Sometimes I think I might have been the one that wanted him to keep it. It was an easy way of making sure he was getting enough vitamins and nutrients just in case he wasn't eating enough to get it from the food. It's crazy I know, but it's a momma or should I say a mum thing. That's my new name now.....MUM! Lovin it! I can check this off the list now and move on to the next challenge.

I got to see my little nephew again yesterday and now I have baby fever even worse. I hope that this is the month for us. Brody was so sweet to him and I'm sure he would just be the best big brother. I wish I could just snap my fingers and we would have this huge family...I'm thinking 3 or 4. Who knows we could be the next 18 kids and counting!

I think my baby is finally a big boy

So today I am proud to say that my Bubba's has drank all of his milk from a sippy cup WOO WOO! Yesterday his sissy came and babysat while I caught up on some much needed sleep and while she was here he drank milk out of the cup for her. So today I thought I was going to be Strong and just give him the cups and finally put the bottles in storage. I'm so proud he is such big boy now!

It's trying time again

Well we have or should I say I have decided it's time again to start trying for baby # 2. (Casey wanted to try sooner, but I was too fragile mentally) This will be the first month and I'm so nervous about being able to carry another baby. I never thought about losing a baby until we lost our precious little peanut several months ago. Please keep my little family in your prayers and pray that we will be able to have another little monkey running around soon.

He is a Big Helper

Brody has become such a big helper lately. It's nice telling him to do things and he will do them without the first little whimper. I know I know all you mamma's out there are screaming "enjoy it now because it will not last forever". Anyway these are a few pictures from Saturday of Bubba's and Daddy washing his car.....notice it's his car and not mine!

He has to do everything just like daddy

All wet from washing the car...I believe there is more on him than the car
